Receive Text UpdatesMy passion for fitness is driven by the desire to be a positive role model in how I conduct my life in work, fitness, nutrition & spirituality. At Fort Bliss my everyday job is guiding a team of 30 strength coaches, PT’s, AT’s, OT’s and RD's training Soldiers to be more lethal combatants. I get great pleasure in working with the Civilian Employee Fitness Program, Army Strong Strength & Conditioning Camps for high school students, and youth as a volunteer high school strength coach.
Tell us your favorite way to stay fitAs a competitive weightlifter and coach for USA Weightlifting, I have won at the Master’s Nationals and Pan American Championships twice. I incorporate Olympic-style weightlifting techniques into my training, which has helped me compete at a high level for many years. My routine includes detailed weightlifting programs and intense cardio sessions on Sundays to push my limits. Olympic weightlifting focuses on full range of motion, improving strength and athleticism.
What would you do with $20,000?I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease due to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune during my time as a Marine. However, I have successfully managed my condition by incorporating weight training, maintaining a healthy diet, and using natural supplements. My ultimate goal is to donate the $20,000 prize to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Additionally, I aim to educate and train individuals with Parkinson's Disease about the numerous benefits of weight training.
