Jeff Hamlin

At age 34 I lost 50lb with exercise and proper nutrition. I've continued this lifestyle for 25 years and encourage others to do the same!

What fuels your passion for fitness?

As I approach my retirement years, my primary goal is to maintain my strength and a healthy body composition. My inner drive to always improve and train at my maximum capacity comes from viewing my embarrassing photos of when I was overweight and out of shape! More importantly, I’m seriously motivated to prove that a respectable level of health and physical fitness can be achieved at any age without spending hours in a gym or needing performance enhancement drugs or TRT!

Tell us your favorite way to stay fit

I like to just stick to the basic strength training equipment such as free weights, machines, and resistance bands. I typically do about 20-30 minutes of resistance training on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Saturday I'll do biking or running for about 15 minutes, followed by stretching.

What would you do with $20,000?

I've been a certified personal trainer for over 20 years and truly enjoy the reward of helping others to succeed! We recently moved to Knoxville, TN and would honestly feel deeply gratified if I could make a significant donation of $20K to the Emerald Youth Foundation. It’s a Christian based organization that offers a wide variety of sports programs to our youths and teaches young athletes how to care for their bodies in a God honoring way.
