I won the Mr. Los Angeles Natural contest in 2010 before passing the bar exam. Health is my priority and I'm running for congress at age 40.

Receive Text UpdatesMy concern over the health of the American public (especially children), fuels my passion for health and fitness. Childhood obesity is now at a record high at 20% (not just overweight, but "obese"). As a country, we must improve everyone’s overall health to set an example for the younger children since they are our future leaders. With my passion in health and fitness, as well as my background in law and public policy, I believe I can make changes to improve the country's overall health.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit? When I was competing in 2009 through 2010 in the INBA during law school, I incorporated "muscle confusion" in my workouts. The body needs a variety of training since "routine workouts" makes the body work less efficient (as the body becomes accustomed). Thus, I try to incorporate different style workouts in my training (strength training, power training, plyometrics, calisthenics, etc.) as I try to "shock" my body with new and various workouts to make it work harder and produce better results.
What would you do with $20,000?Since I am making a commitment to become a public servant for the American public, I would use the $20,000 to fund clinical research so we can prove the benefits of clean ketogenic diets and exercise to the American public without the use of any dangerous pharmaceuticals to put various conditions in remission through clinical trials as I believe everyone can (and should) truly heal with metabolic health (as Hippocrates said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food").
