Receive Text UpdatesIn the past it was numbers with powerlifting. Now the drive comes from wanting to be more healthy and fit. I lost 50lbs from my powerlifting days and it’s been a year since I crossed over. I never gave bodybuilding much credit but now I think it’s even more challenging than powerlifting cause it’s not only the lifting you are dealing with but also the diet which offers a new slew of challenges.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit? Most of training consists of free weights and machines. Rep range 8-12 for the most part. Most of my sets and reps I focus time under tension. When I crossed over I did some research and ran into articles from Mike Mentzer where he talks about time under tension. I enjoy these type of workouts and linking the brain to the muscle for that duration seems to be paying off. I got more work to do and more weight to lose but I think I’m off to a decent start to my new path of fitness.
What would you do with $20,000?First I would like to take my lovely wife of 30 years on the honeymoon she never got to have. With what’s left I’d like to get more gym equipment for my home gym.
