What fuels your passion for health and fitness?

I've lifted off and on for the past 30 years, mostly to keep my body in one piece. Being an ironworker takes a toll. My daughter passed away when I was 40 leaving behind a 9 month old daughter, we have custody. At work I'm supervising multiple crews and equipment on fast track projects. The gym is where I can breathe, listen to my music and just train. It's more of my center than an escape, bringing everything else into focus and allowing me to be better at the rest of my life.

What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?

I've always prioritized big compound lifts and that will never change. Squats, deads, bench, press, rows and chins are staples. If my schedule allows I'll add in more isolation work but not usually. My weekend workouts will vary depending on the season. If the weather is decent I like doing farmers carry, yoke, stones or something explosive outside. Im currently working towards this years goals on the big 3 even though my winter bulk was sidetracked with excessive walking at work.

What would you do with $20,000?

I'd spend a good portion on boosting my accounts on social media and take the family on a better vacation this year. I've missed a couple vacations lately and took my laptop when I went. I started the additional accounts in hopes of showing men that a regular guy could be in great shape at any age. I used to be the guy looking at Musclemag trying to copy workouts and meal plans. Neither worked well for me and I used being a hardgainer as my excuse. Discipline in everything was the answer
