Receive Text UpdatesSeeing how exercise can change people’s lives is what I love. I would say exercise is the best method to deal with depression, stress, or difficult times. Everyone can benefit from it. Now more than ever we live in a technological world and people need to be more fit. I went from being the most unfit in my class during the presidential fitness test to now being the strongest and most fit while living with a moderate genetic disadvantage. Exercise is therapy and it’s life changing. Try it!
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?Living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome makes my routine a little different since my joints are more elastic and prone to injury than the average person. Therefore what I have learned in my 30 years of exercise is that EDS population benefit from low impact, moderate resistance options. For cardio I highly recommend bicycling or using a stair stepper vs running. For resistance I love using elastic workout bands, Bowflex machines vs heavy free weights. For abdominals the ab lounge chair works great!
What would you do with $20,000?If I were to win 20k. The first thing I would do would take 10k of that and put in on my mother’s house payment. She is a retired nurse and last thanksgiving her house caught on fire and she lost almost everything including her pets and personal belongings. She definitely deserves a break. With the remaining amount I would like to use 8k to apply to medical schools across the nation as I am currently studying for my MCAT. With the remaining 2k I would donate to The Special Forces Foundation.
