Receive Text UpdatesI believe every human being is a treasure chest of unrealized potential and I was determined to see what was in me. My pursuit of health and fitness is not about aesthetics. It’s about realizing all of my potential in every area of my life. I don’t do it to compete with others, but I’m working towards becoming my best self: physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I haven’t “arrived” but I’m enjoying the journey, and reaching that destination is what fuels me.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I love long walks in interesting places. Hiking in nature is great. But I also love exploring big cities when I travel. I let myself get lost in the sights, smells and faces, and before I know it, I’ve got 10 miles under my belt. I also really enjoy strength training. Instead of competing with others, like in basketball or pickleball, strength training is all about competing with your greatest adversary, yourself. You succeed by beating your former best self and that is so satisfying.
What would you do with $20,000?I really want to help other people. While I love sharing my personal experience and what I’ve learned from the internet, I would put some of the prize money towards education and becoming a certified trainer. I don’t plan to change my career, but I’d like to be better equipped to help other people meet their goals. Secondly, I’d like my own personal gym equipment. I love being a “gym bro” but it takes me away from home too much. I’d like to have a home gym where I can stay fit with my family.
