Connect What fuels your passion for health and fitness?

My passion for health and fitness is fueled by family history. Most of my family is obese and has some type of serious health problem as a direct consequence from unhealthy living habits. I want to prove to people that it’s not about where you are from, or how you were raised. I strive to be living proof of this. I want to encourage and inspire people who were placed in a similar situation as me.

What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?

My favorite ways to stay fit is through weight lifting and sports. I play college football, which helps me stay in some of the best shape of my life I’ve ever been in. During offseason I am in the weight room every day I can be. I also enjoy playing a lot of basketball and soccer. Additionally, I am in the military. We go on far walks, runs, and rucks. Nearly every day I am putting multiple hours into staying fit. However, I also put just as much effort into my nutrition.

What would you do with $20,000?

With 20,000 I would pay off the rest of my college. Living with a single mother, it’s been hard to be the only person ever in my family to go to college. The military covers my tuition, however, everything else is still nearly nine thousand dollars a year. I’ve been working as much as I can, but am often busy with other things that I don’t get much hours. Additionally I’d also help give back to my mother. It’s her love and care that has driven me to get this far.
