As a physical education teacher and Football Coach, I see the way today’s youth is trending in a downward trajectory. Social media, comfort, and self instant gratification has cause health and fitness to take a back seat. I’m fueled by living in a way that may encourage just one person to change their lifestyle and make health and fitness a priority. If that one person can also inspire another person, before you know it, it creates a snowball effect that can inspire real change.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I train Brazilian jiu jitsu, I am currently training for my 3rd 70.3 triathlon, and for my first ultra marathon of 52.7 miles. I supplement that with a minimum of 4 lifts each week, mainly focusing on heavy compound movements, no fluff!
What would you do with $20,000?I would use it to hopefully inspire more people. By able to afford more entry fees, travel to races, nutrition and recovery I believe the sky is the limit. I want to show people you don’t have to be talented, you just have to show up, day after day. Hard work, at some point, will always pay off.
