Being the best version of myself and a role model for my kids fuels my passion for health and fitness. At 5’2” and diagnosed with scoliosis at 13, I've always been an underdog and started lifting at 15. I was also a breakdancer in junior high and high school and trained martial arts. After university and living the corporate life for 20 years, my health suffered and I was pre-diabetic. To get healthy, I refocused on nutrition, lifting, and martial arts to lose 40 lbs and transformed my physique.

My favorite way to train or stay fit is through martial arts for functional strength and mobility. I also enjoy the challenge of resistance training and mixing up progressive overload with low and high volume to maximize my physique. Being consistent and disciplined is hard and the best motivation. Fitness is a never ending journey and taught me to run towards challenges instead of away from them, and pushes me to strive for growth in all aspects of life. As the saying goes, “no pain, no gain.”

With my 20-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son planning to start university in Fall 2026, I would use the $20,000 to help them pay for their tuition and living expenses.
