Receive Text UpdatesWhat fuels my passion for health and fitness isn’t aesthetics, it’s survival. After my spinal cord injury, I was told to be careful, that doing less will keep me safe. But doing less only led to more pain, weakness, and dependence. Training is how I fight back. Strength is how I protect my body, preserve my independence, and push against a system that expects decline. Smart movement means more life.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train both in and out of the chair is by adapting regular gym equipment to work for me, combined with functional ground-based work, for lifetime performance. I train like an athlete that adapts with smart setups. I call it strength therapy. Everything revolves around shoulder health, because when your shoulders are your legs, protecting them isn’t optional. Strength training isn’t about looking strong; it’s about staying independent, pain-free, and capable long term.
What would you do with $20,000?My goal is to become your physical therapist's favorite strength coach, the person they'd feel most comfortable referring SCI clients to post-rehab. So I’d invest directly into growing my business (Move To Improve SCI) to reach and help more people with spinal cord injuries: Better content, better tools, and wider access. I’d also use part of it to offset the added daily costs of living with SCI, which gives me the stability to keep building, coaching, and showing up at a high level.
