Receive Text UpdatesAs a person who lives with ADHD, I have found that exercise and healthy diet help me maintain mental wellbeing. I believe in being strong mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Exercise helps me practice mindfulness as my weightlifting prompts me to focus on my breathing and being present in the moment. Taking care of yourself physically is one of the best forms of self care that one can practice.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train is weight training. It is a part of my daily routine as I lift 7 days a week, alternating body parts. I find it to be therapeutic. In fact, I post to social media daily with the hashtag “WeightliftingIsMyTherapy.
What would you do with $20,000?I would donate a portion of it to suicide prevention as that is one of my passions. We lose far too many people to suicide each year. The remainder would go towards college tuition for my sons.
