As a child I was active in sports, as a teenager I began weight lifting for strength and muscular endurance. After highschool I started my career in public safety as an EMT and volunteer firefighter. At 22yo I was in a car accident and injured my back. Over the years I would go to the gym occasionally, usually when the doctor would say I'm borderline diabetic. On Xmas eve 2019 my 20yo son was shot and killed, and I realized we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Now I'm a competitive bodybuilder.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I need a regular routine, every day, same time, same meals. I'm fortunate to have a wife that supports my fitness goals 110% and allowed me to build a home gym and a cardio room. She typically joins me 3 days a week in our home gym, and packs my meals daily for me before work. We train with free weights, cables and machines, and use an elliptical, stationary bike and stepper for cardio.
What would you do with $20,000?Continue my fitness journey to achieve my goal as a masters over 50 IFBB pro bodybuilder and continue to help others learn how to achieve their personal fitness goals. I also have my own fitness clothing brand that I have wanted to market and launch since I was 18yo.
